Fall Fashion and Beauty Items...

It's sad, days of summer are coming to an end. To be honest half of our summer was very miserable here in the Netherlands, with lots of Rain in the month of August. Two or three days it even happened that the rain was so terrible, that it seemed that the rain of a whole month fell in one day! So now I actually don't care what temperature it is, as long as the Rain stays away. BUT enough complaining, let's welcome the new season that's around the corner..which we call Fall or some of you call it Autumn.

In my opinion the beauty of this season are the soft colours, the fact that you can just wear a sweater and a sjawl with a trendy skinny jean or a legging in a black or fall colour! And oooooh... I love the the long baggy cardigans combined with the boots...OMG I missed the boots the most during the Spring and Summer seasons. Boots are so trendy within the Fall season and even in the extended part which we call the winter. And the fun of it is that almost everything is so comfortable and fashionable at the same time with Fall Fashion!

My Favs for Fall Fashion

''let's welcome the new season that's around the corner''

And how can I forget the Fall trends for Make-up? I must be crazy if I didn't mention Make-Up in this section. I am obsessing over the gypsy dark lip colours, which are super trendy with this season. Some of my favorite colours are Wine Red, Burgundy, Purple or Plum shades, and of course a nude lip which is wearable every season of the year!

My Favs for Fall Make-Up

In the collages above you can find my hunting treasures which I collected from Pinterest ( Yeah shout out to Pinterest for all the fashion ideas it allows you to combine!)

Hope you have a fashionable Fall season with some trendy colours beauties!

Thanks Anastasia BeverlyHills for my Daily Essential extension...

So back in summer ( like it's ages ago LOL) while scrolling down on Instagram I got a shock (like literally, I screamed 'OMG' loudly and jumped up)!

Anastasia of AnastasiaBeverlyhills had just announced that she was working together with (in my opinion)  the best make-up artist out on Instagram AMREZY (her name is Amra but she is known for her username) !!

It was all over the newsfeed and she also announced it herself 'The Amrezy-Palette had been released!'. Now let me be clear,  I don't LIKE her make-up, I LOVE... like I'm obsessed with the way she applies make-up and how beautiful it (she) is, it's just soooo perfect!

I was so bummed while searching on Internet as it was completely sold out ( I had to order it on anastasiabeverlyhills.com). I got a flashback with that feeling all over again, when I was desperate to buy the AnastasiaBeverlyhills Contour Palette which was sold out for a long time..but I won't jump into that as that's a whole other story!

' Good things happen to those who wait'

Finally I waited for a month or so, to be sure that It would be back in stock! As they say ' Good things happen to those who wait' and actually it did! After 6 or 7 weeks of the release of the Amrezy Palette, AnastasiaBeveryhills announced a collaboration with another Instagram BeautyGuru, the most beautifull and stunning Maya also known as Instagram sensation MAYA_MIA_Y ! The Maya Miya Palette had been released!

Shortly after the release I ordered both the palettes ( it sure was worth the wait). 1,5 week later I received the palettes in the mailbox, I was so happy!

I received it like this and was instantly in Love with the packages

In short my first impression of both the palettes:

Both the palettes with some 'Get the looks' from Maya Mia Palette
The Amrezy Palette comes (like most of the ABH eyeshadowpalettes) in 10 colors; Legend, Glisten, Topaz, Iridescent Purple, Emerald, Vanilla, Caramel, Morocco, Deep Plum, and LBD.

The palette itself ( both of them actually) have a travelsized package and on the inside of the lid there is a mirror. The colors in the Amrezy palette are highly pigmented. The colors chosen in the palette are incredible as you actually have colors in it that allow you to create a simple daytime look and even a darker evening look, you won't be needing any other palette while using it.

My favorite color of this palette is Morocco! I often use it as a transition color on my crease as it is matt and very blendable! Beside that it's great palette and surely my favorite.

My Fall-Look  using the Amrezy Palette

The Maya Mia Palette also comes in 10 colors; Nude, Deep Brown, Sienna, Warm Taupe,Vanilla, Aqua, Fresh Peach, Glisten, Caramel and Gold Bar.

The colors in the Maya Mia palette are highly pigmented aswell. The colors chosen in the palette are very summery as Maya lives in Tanzania - Africa. She was inspired by the colors of the nature of the Island on the east coast of Africa called 'Zanzibar. Hence the blue and the pink tones. I love using this palette esspecially for soft daytime looks, but don't worry you can even create a smokey eye if needed for an evening look. This is possible with the color Deep Brown.

My favorite color of this palette is Aqua! I love the high pigment of it and the fact that it's an instant eyecatcher! If I am not using the Amrezy palette this always is my second 'go to' palette ( which is great as my passion is travelling and Sunny Days often happen with that kind of hobby).

Day Time look created by me with the Maya Mia Palette

Last week ABH released another palette by the gorgeous ( as I like to call her) contour queen: Tamanna Roashan a.k.a. DressYourFace with the Tamanna Palette! I am not sure if I will order this palette because it seems like the colors look like a merge of the previous palettes. But than I don't trust myself, I might order it to complete my collection and try the palette out ( yeah I know, I am greedy for Make-Up Guilty as charged!).

I haven't been using any other palette for the past few weeks beside these two, that's why I thank AnastasiaBeveryhills for not only giving Make-Up Artists on Instagram and BeautyBloggers a chance to make them selves visible and start a carriere in a diffrent way but also for extending my daily essentials, as I already can't live with these palette's on a daily base!

Sunday I have a special day planned, will be blogging about that next week!

Hope you have a nice weekend beauties!

xoxo..

Treasure Hunting...A day at Centro

So last Friday was shopping day, there was no particular thing I needed..so I decided to call  it a treasure hunt and my sweet cousin decided to join me. Every girl is happy with their shopping items, it's like they found a treasure! Yep I'm that same kind of girl! So let me take you on my Treasure hunt journey.

Some of my Treasures

So after having a Mc Donalds Breakfast ( OMG the McMuffin with Egg and cheese is soooo YUM) we were heading to the biggest shopping mall in Europe 'Centro Oberhausen' which is in Germany. It's approx 1,5 hours driving, and with two ladies talking that much like we do.. AHUM.. it felt like less than 30 mins.

''every girl is happy with their shopping items, it's like they found a Treasure''

When reaching our destination we felt a bit of a appetite so a quick lunch at Starbucks and some more chatting it was! I have never had such delicious bagels in my life! Mine, the most bottom one; had cheese and pieces of chicken on it, and the bagel on the top right, had cream cheese with salmon, both warmed up a tiny bit! So taste full!

Felt Heaven in our stomach

As we parked in the center of the mall we decided to walk down the left side of the mall first. For the 1st hour we didn't end up buying something which was so sad but that changed soon. We discovered some crowd at a shop, coming closer it was in front of the Apple store ( NO I did not know that the I-Phone 6 was releasing that day in Germany). Though it was very funny to see that so much people were in the line and event slept a night in front of the mall for it.

Luckily we were not there for the new IPhone but were hunting for some fashion and/or beauty items as it was not that crowded at the rest of the mall beside the Apple store spot.

We finally stayed around for 6 hours including a dinner at the super large food spot of Centro. I had found some coupons for discount at dinner on the Centro App. This is a must have and saves some money, only thing that is disturbing is that you have to pay with cash at all food counters within the area of the food spot.

The shopping mall was in full preparations of the Fashion show that is taking place on the 28 and 29th of September 2014. There were some fashion spots and ads going on for the fashion show, which gave a nice extra touch to the shopping experience. I loved peaking at some high class fashion items that were exhibited, especially the jacket that reminded me of Michael Jackson and his fabulous sense of Fashion paired with the dance moves.

To name a few shops that we enjoyed most are: Deichmann, Bershka, Zara, H&M, DouglasMisterLady, Orsay, H&M Beauty Box, Pimkie,Tally Weijl, New Yorker, Colloseum and how can we forget the Make-Up Stores Flormar en KIKO Cosmetics! I think we spend most of the time in make-up stores. Ofcourse there are lots of other stores aswell, but it's to much to name, so I named a few favs. For a map with all the shops click here.

I ended up buying a bunch make-up items ( I know SHOCKING..NOT!!) with my favorite being the KIKO watereyeshadow number 208 which seems to be a dupe for MAC whisper of gilt. I also bough a cute little eyeshadow palette from Flormar and one of my favorite Mascara's The Spiderlash mascara.

If you live in the Netherlands or you are in the German neighbour of Oberhausen I definitely recommend a shopping day at Centro. I have also been there around christmass and the decoration and atmosphere is at the best around that time.

Hope you guys visit the shopping mall soon, enjoy the snaps of our experience below, and don't hesitate to give me some shopping tips or locations where I can hunt again.

Till next time and enjoy beauties!

xoxo

Make-Up the Cheaper way...

Whenever I go to a drugstore ( here in the Netherlands I mainly go to Kruidvat and back in the States when we go on vacation it's always CVS)  I end up buying make-up which I actually don't need but still end up using. I think many of you beauties deal with this.

We call these make-up items 'Budget Makeup' as most of the people are able to afford them. I mean make-up is all about enhancing the Beauty not about the price tag of the make-up or how big the brand is. For instance a cheaper eyeshadow can also contain high pigment.

''Make-up is all about enhancing the Beauty''

Some budget brands are pretty good in quality as well, you don't always need to buy your make-up at the counter of a high end brand, that's a choice that everyone needs to make for themselves.

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite budget make-up brands and my favorite picks!

Let start with my most favorite brand lately, which is so affordable and actually I don't have any bad experiences with it as yet, people that know me can guess it.. yes it's NYX Cosmetics. I use their eye shadows, eyeshadow base, blush, and I am getting obsessed with there lipsticks every time I see them!

My favorites of NYX, for NL available at Douglas

Than we have HEMA which is like the Target in the USA. The only difference is that it sells all the products with their own 'Hema' brand. My favorite Liquid Eyeliner is the 'Hema Eyeliner'. It's the blackest in the liquid range. I also use the blush sometimes, as it has a pretty good pigment. I recently bought a pair of lashes as they look so pretty, though I still need to try it.

Hema Essentials

Catrice cosmetics is one of the cheapest brands along with Essence cosmetics. I run out of my Essence make-up for good pictures but I love the blush of Essence cosmetics, they are everything, the pigment is great and it gives you that subtle overall look. Since a short period I am a huge fan of the limited edition of the Catrice Luminizing Bronzer, it has a pinky glow and its great for highlighting the upper area of the cheeks.

For all the light shades and uneven skin I highly recommend the All Round Concealer, it's a compact package and is quickly applyable with either your hand or a brush. Now about the lipsticks. They actually are pretty good, but the texture is not that thick, however if you use a liner all over the lips and fill it in with the lipsticks it looks beautiful.

Catrice Essentials

L'oreal Lumi primer is the best primer in my opinion. The texture is great as less is needed, it covers the whole face and eliminates the uneven parts.

I recently tried the Miss Manga mascara as I only heared and read positive things. Now I have been using it for 3 weeks or so, and it's pretty good as you need less. When pulling out the brush it contains lots of product. I often use it as a second layer of Mascara after I used another Mascara. The brush is designed in a way that it gives you a fuller lash look, and the eyes appear to be bigger. What girl doesn't want that right?!

L'oreal Essentials

The Sleek Make-Up and Elf Cosmetics eye shadows are just incredible, and the prices are ridiculously low. The reason that I only mention the eye shadows is because they are highly pigmented and very easy to blend. For all the ladies a must have!

Sleek Make-UP Eyeshadows

My favorite Mascara for the last 5 or 6 years is Maybelline Falsies in Black Drama, this mascara gives me the perfect base coat and is the blackest ever. As I mentioned above the first coat that I used is and I think always will be Black Drama, although the Miss Manga now gives me that extra finished look these Mascara's are surely my dream team LOL!

Another newbie is the FIT ME pressed powder which I bought during my visit to the US this year. I bought a powder for the overall face, and a very dark powder which is actually great for contouring as it is very blendable and has no shimmer to it.

Maybelline Beauty Essentials

Last but not the least, the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipsticks are heavenly. The texture is so smooth and creamy and the lipstick stays during a larger portion of the day. The nude colour is my all time favorite.

I think that's enough for today, if you have any tips for me regarding budget make-up please let me know, I love to try them out.

Take care and have a lovely day Beauties!

The Beauty of doing what you love ...

I love doing Make-up but what I also love is capturing the beauty of my work and make it eternal with my own imagination and creation and put it in a frame.

"Capturing the beauty of my work and make it eternal"

Last year I decided to buy a somewhat enhanced camera the 'Samsung Nx1000 ' ( yeah for me that camera was very enhanced even though I know there are far more professional camera's on the market but hey..I was doing it all with my phone camera). So I opted for this one as I just wanted to capture my make-up creations with a little more professional camera.

So I asked around and got some volunteers within my family and friends which I dolled up and put in front of my camera! I am so thankful that these people helped me out ( BIG SHOUT OUT. You know who you are!).

By practicing with make-up on others and photographing I just got better and better not only with the make-up but also taking pictures was getting more exciting. I realized that I had developed a new hobby. Photography, taking pictures of people that I dolled up myself! And I even loved everything around it from arranging the clothes, choosing locations and even helping with poses and the facial expressions during the shots! As I said before my own imagination and creations coming to life!

Beauty of doing and practicing what you love is, that you keep on developing and discovering new things about yourself.

The first photo below being my latest photo shoot. And the rest of the photo's are some that I took within the last year.

Enjoy my creations and do what you love beauties!

Best Silver Ever..

I love doing a smokey eye with a pop of gold or silver. Some people think it's a bit over the top to add that much of a black color for a daily look but hey..sometimes you have to try and be different and experiment to discover what kind of looks and colours can enhance certain parts in your face.

''sometimes you have to try and be different and experiment''
What I love to use for a smokey eye is the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette. Beside the excellent colours that it contains for daily looks, it has the best silver eyeshadow in the whole world, as I never have seen such a heavy pigmented silver on any other palette or eyeshadow.

Even without a eyeshadow base it's pretty good pigmented but I still recommend to use a eyeshadow base at all times, as it just gives you that extra highlight in the pigment of any eyeshadow, and with this silver it just gives you the extra bit!

Colour Swatch for achieving a Silver Smokey Eye Look

I used 'Tease' as a transition colour following with 'Blackout' in the outer V. Than I applied the ever hot silver shade 'Pistol' and dabbed the colour on the 3/4 of the lid starting at the tear duct. At the very start of the tear duct I dabbed a spot of 'Verve' just to open up the eyes. After this step I blended the crease and its colours to eliminate any harsh lines. And last but not the least a little bit of 'Foxy' for the under brow area.

After the eye shadows, complete the eye-look with a eyeliner and some Mascara or false lashes...
And voila below you can find the achieved look.

Hope you liked it beauties!

So how do I start..

I have been thinking to start blogging for a while now. I was not sure if I could keep up with it, but than today finally after months I thought 'why not, give it a try'! I love to share my view on Make-up, Fashion and even some of my other favorite things!

I can talk endless about makeup, and even some times about fashion!

I've created a page on Facebook sometime a year ago where I shared ( still do..) my favorite make-up looks of Beautybloggers, celebs and once in a while some of my own Make-Up creations. Beside that it happened that I shared sort of blogposts about fashion or make-up! Being the latest one about #Fall Make-up which I will post on this blog soon!

As I have a full-time job beside my love and hobby for mainly Make-Up I try to share some of my make-up looks on Instagram, I just love the Make-Up community on it!

I hope to entertain others with this blog by sharing my hobby and interests with the rest of the world!
